How to make compact run instantly when initiate from Client?

After we upgraded to Domino 7.02, when a compact is initiate from Lotus Notes Client, it did not instantly or even show on the domino.

As our users have quota on their mailbox, they cannot see the changes after compact even after they archive or cleanup their mailbox. The administrator need to manually load compact on the server to see the changes. but we have to many users to do it manually.

Please advise. Thanks
