I have created a form with many fields with Acrobat 9 Pro. I can't seem to make my Combo Boxes required fields, even though I set them up as required in the General Tab of the properties box. The valid selections are numbers 1 -6 and I have set the default to zero, but selecting zero does not give me an error when I submit the form via email. Also on the validate tab I have set the range to 1 - 6. Is it possible to do this with a Combo Box? Thanks

Hi doublereed,

Unfortunately, mandatory fields are not checked on submission.
They are (optionally) highlighted red if the user wishes so, but they are not "technically" mandatory fields.

I've had the same challenge a while ago.
Check out my thread thread223-1504053
This should solve your problem.

;-)

Cheers,
Makey
