how to make a sum in excel?.

Hi,

I want to sum this values

HHMMSS,miliseconds

0:00:17:906
0:00:12:422
0:01:28:592
0:01:31:242
0:01:50:881
0:02:16:237
0:01:25:495
0:01:32:805

I don´t know how to make this.

Does this need to be done in VBA? Just use the SUM spreadsheet function

I doubt the Sum is your problem, as Skip points out, just use regular good ole SUM. Sounds like formatting may be an issue here..

BTW,

Excel store time as fractions of a day.

MS Excel does not accomodate time values to the millisecond

All the precision you get seconds is AFAIK hh:nn:ss.

If you need that precision, the store your time value in som other format and handle the DISPLAY format yourself.

Thanks for your input.

I was working on it, and I did this

I changed the format to hh:mm:ss,000 , after that I changed the last :)) for (,) , then I made a sum.

I think It works fine.

Skip - does go down to fractions of a second:

hh:mm:ss.00

is the lowest level of time detail available
