Hello,

I have read tutorials on how to make a scroll bar for Text. But i want to make a scroll bar for Buttons.

Here is the page I am trying to build..

Now notice there is a section call "Click Category to View Prices", in this section I want to put about 30 buttons in a vertical line (ie. each button on one another), and it is obvious that 30 buttons of a descent size cannot all fit on that section at the same time. So i need s scroll bar for that section only.

It should be noted that scroll bar is for thar section only and should not affect the blue and red sections to the right of it. That is, the section in the middle and RHS should not have scroll bars. Becasue when the buttons are pressed movies are loaded in the middle(blue) section.

Any ideas on how to do this?

Well then guess you'll have to put your buttons in a movie clip, mask this movie clip so that only a certain amount of buttons are visible, and then simply "scroll" that movie clip up & down with buttons. This scroll would in fact be moving the movie clip by ajusting it's ypos behind the mask until a max pos is reached up or down, according to the number of buttons you want to scroll.
Then each button would simply load (or make visible, if you were using movie clips within your main movie), a movie clip in the center portion of your movie. Regards,

Oldnewbie,

Ok I know how to Mask a Layer, But how do you mask a whole movie?

I've search the whole meni bar and I cannot find an option to mask a whole movie?

The same you would do any other masking effect.
Put your movie clip on a layer, and on the layer above it just create and set the mask. Regards,
