Hi All;

Our customer have a Avaya S8700 system and networking with several sites by IP trunk, when user dial a number route to IP trunk, can I set something to make a prompt if the IP trunk fails? I have a way to do this by entering the second route to PSTN call (The PSTN number is the DID number of a VDN or Announcement), but do you have other ideas to do this if customer have no DID numbers?

Thanks!

What I would suggest is that you use a package like Avaya Site Administration ( Part of Integrated Management). Under the Fault and Performance tab you can use the Monitor Trunk tab to report out of service trunks to your E-mail. Only problem I had is that Outlook must be open on your machine al the time. Don't know if this is still the case
