Hi. Is there a way I can make a job I run on a regualr basis have a different nice priority than other jobs, without having to change it everytime I start it?

You can use the "nice" command to start it with a different priority.
Code:
/home/wiccachick/# [b]nice -15 [i]mycommand[/i][/b]
will run mycommand at a much lower than normal priority. See the man page for more details, including how to increase priority.

I would suggest looking at Workload Manager for what you are needing to do.
