How to make a key light on 2616?

Does anyone know of a way to use a key feature to make the key light up (indication light by a key)? I have a piece of software that needs to see the light go on and off to start and stop a function in the software. The key/light will act as a toggle switch, it doesn't have to do anything else. TIA!!

that key (mik) on your phone will light a msg lamp on a remote set. the remote set needs mwa, if it's analog it also needs lna in class
