How to make a field update to a dif. lookup selection field

I am trying to do the following:
1)After selecting a contact name from a combo box
2) Have the following address field update to the contacts address information.
I have tried with no success, I can not "bind" the record to the contact tables record correctly I think.

Try: me!adress = me!combo.column(2) - where 2 holds addres info.
If your combo does not hold this info you could try a dlookup("Adress","Adresses","AdrID=" & me!combo.column(0).

Thanks. It sounds like you know what I am trying to do. It should be simple, but of course...

can you be a bit more precise on exactly what steps I would need to go through? I tried placing that code but it didnt work.
