I am making website for this guy. He has a logo on his business card. He wants same logo on the website. It quite complicated logo, with boat and flag and sea waves etc. How can one make an exact logo? I mean I am not graphic designer, but is it possible to draw exact logo?

The obvious and best solution would be to obtain the original file from whoever created the logo originally. If that is not possible, I would suggest a high res scan, then adjust/ edit as necessary for the web.

thats what i thought , scan the business card/logo. Only little problem is I need to make logo little bigger. If I make it bigger it will not stay very clear ........

Scan in the highest resolution you can to get the size you want and then open in photoshop.
Create a new layer and create paths that overlay the lines from the image.
Then stroke the paths to draw the lines on your new layer.
Add other layers behind and fill in with appropriate colours.
Finally, loose the original image layer completely and flatten the image ready for saving.

If you scan the logo at 200 dpi - you will be able to increase its size by a factor of 2* and still have a resolution of 100 dpi - more than enough for an image to go on the web. If you need to have the image even larger than twice its size on the bizcard, do the maths.

* in Photoshop, under Image>Image Size, uncheck the resample box, and enter the desired width (or height) OR the desired resolution. Dimensions and resolution are inversely proportional - as you increase one, the other decreases by the same factor.
