How to Mail Merge using email

Hi,

We have a problem whereby we wish to send a campaign of emails to relevant people.
However, we wish to personalise the email to say "Dear John..." etc. however, ACT! seems to want to use "Dear Contact".
You are able to personalise letters so I would assume you can do it with email. Does anybody have any ideas what I am missing?

Hello Woody,
When you choose the "Send output to" option during the mail merge process select "E-mail".

This presumes that you have already created the merge letter and have included the <Contact:26> or <First Name:78> fields into your letter.
