Hey guys, I'm working with a flash template that has some animations (series of jpg)

The original files are:
FLA = 9,838 KB
SWF = 2,002 KB

Now, I needed to edit the animation and take a couple of thins out of the bg

when I uploaded the files back again, this is what I got:
FLA = 19,507 KB
SWF = 2,758 KB

So I went Back to phoshop and saved the jpg animation using: (save for web - optimize for file size)
Amazingly, this lowered my FLA but increased my SWF what gives???

FLA = 11,800 KB
SWF = 3,100 KB
What am I doing wrong!!!??? I really want to keep my file size in 2MB not 3!

Well there are several things that I have run across that might cause this. The fist is that Flash is terrible at coverting images. When Flash takes an image that either needs to resize or coverted it adds backround commands that increase the file size of a project. The best solution is to generate images in PS that are to size that will be used in Flash as is. Additionally, check your publishing settings. There might be something in there that would cause the size to be larger.
