We have 4 Symposium boxes, but my Crystal always defaults to access one particular Symposium. How do I access one of the other ones? I'm pretty sure I've read it here in this forum, and now I can't seem to find that thread. It has to do with setting up an additional ODBC?

You can refer to SCCS 4.2 Historical Reporting & Data Dictionary Guide page 35 onwards.

Basically, you need to:
1. Define connection to each SCCS box
2. Define DSN in ODBC Data Source

Otherwise, you can actually modify the sql.ini file in C:\Program Files\Nortel Networks\Symposium Call Center Server\SqlIni\ini folder.

Look for the [ICCM_PREVIEW] and change the IP address to the other symposium box you want to access.

This way, you can keep the ICCM_PREVIEW ODBC connection on the crystal report. However, you need to manually change the ip address everytime you want to access different server.

Hi,

The way that I have got around this is to copy the sql.ini file from it's original location and place into the root of the server, Then make 4 copies of the original file.

Where you see the entry [ICCM_PREVIEW] I have changed this to [ICCM_NODE1],[ICCM_NODE2] etc. Then enter the correct IP Address for each node.

When you run a report just point to the relevent ICCM_NODE and this works, Just a bit of work setting it up thats all.

Hope this helps.
