du -sk | sort -n will give you just the name of the file and the size in kbytes sorted from smallest to largest. It won't give you the time stamp and will also include any subdirectories in the directory.

Thanks. It's much more difficult to list files by size than I thought before.

ls -la | sort -rn +4

Will list just one dir,without subdirectories.
