Hi all-

Did not find in FAQ and keyword search, so I'll throw it out there.

How do I link tasks from one project schedule to a task in another project schedule?

I am using MS Project 2007.

Thanks

Mike

The easiest method is to create a consolidated project and then link.

1. Open both projects in Project.
2. Choose Window > New Window.
3. Select both projects in the New Window dialog box.
4. In the consolidated project, select the predecessor task, press and hold the CTRL key and select the successor task.
5. Release the control key and click the Link Tasks button.

No need to save the master file -- but do make sure you save the changed original files.

I hope this helps.
