I have 2 3COM Super Stack 400 switches. One I configured last year. This unit has port 1 in a seprate VLAN which I use to remotely access and work with the switch. Rest of the 23 ports are in 2nd VLAN. Now I have bought a 2nd similar switch and wanted to connect them so all servers connected to both switches can see each other. I think buying a stacking kit is one option. But can I simply connect the 2 switches together using 2 cross over cables and use 2 ports on each switch to connect to each other?
Any help will be highly appreciated.

Thanks

Yep. you can use two cross-over cables and to set up the link aggregation. you can simply plug in both cables and the switches will do the rest. This is assuming you have Spanning tree enabled. If not you will have to manually create the aggregate link yourself. You can have up to 4 aggregate links per stack
