How to limit the number of history items

I know there is a section where you can limit the number of CE history instances kept by CE, is it coding, or in the server settings?

It's in the Crystal Management Console, by Folder or by Object (CE10)/Report (CE9). Navigate to the appropriate folder or object and click the Limits tab.
