How to let visitors download jpegs to their computer?

I need a way to let visitors to our site download jpegs to their computer by clicking on a link. Basically I need a link ("click here to download&quot that will popup with a window that asks where the user wants the file saved, and then lets them do that.

Any and all help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

i think the best you can do is zip it. or you could give the files a wierd extension then have the users change it, otherwise, the browser opens files it knows how to read. luciddream@subdimension.com

Or better yet, give them directions on how to right click, save as.

I'll see if my boss will go for the right click thing. We can not use zip - we are Mac users, although the visitors to the site will be a mix of Mac & PC users.
