I need a way to let visitors to our site download jpegs to their computer by clicking on a link. Basically I need a link ("click here to download") that will popup with a window that asks where the user wants the file saved, and then lets them do that.

Any and all help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

i think the best you can do is zip it. or you could give the files a wierd extension then have the users change it, otherwise, the browser opens files it knows how to read. luciddream@subdimension.com

Or better yet, give them directions on how to right click, save as. :)

I'll see if my boss will go for the right click thing. We can not use zip - we are Mac users, although the visitors to the site will be a mix of Mac & PC users.

Thank you for your help.
