Have you tried setting the [blue]read only[/blue] attribute of the file?
In [blue]windows explorer[/blue], find and right-click the file. Select [blue]properties[/blue] and set the [blue]read only[/blue] attribute.
Give it a whirl and let us know.

If the Db is split you can make the frontend read only. Also, are you using Access Security?
You can also set a frontend to read only by:
[ol][li]Open Access.[/li]
[li]File - Open - select the file - then select read only in the combobox on the bottom right.[/li][/ol]
I have a .mdb for my site in a remote server. To read the data in the .mdb, users need to open the asp page. In the asp code there is no way to insert any data into the database. However, I found the size of the .mdb file became bigger but I couldn't find any inserted records (by comparing to the bckup .mdb in my computer)! That is why I want to make the .mdb read only.
>File - Open - select the file - then select read only in the combobox on the bottom right.
Can I do that in a remote server?
