Sir,
What is the command to know the MAINTENANCE LEVEL in AIX. The current version is AIX, 4.3.3.,where 4 is version, first 3 is release no. What is second 3. What is the command to know all these.
To change the current ML of O/S in an HACMP system, what is the procedure.

The first character is version, then release, then revision.

Command to find ML - oslevel -r you can also go into smit and look at the installed software.

As far as procedure, you will need to go through the readme file on the ML and find out if there are any gotchas. I would also call IBM support and ask what prereqs there are if any for HACMP.

oslevel -r will give you a string like "4330-xx" where xx is the maintenance level

Instfix -i | grep ML
instfix -icqk 4330-07_AIX_ML | grep :-:
instfix -icqk 5100-02_AIX_ML | grep :-:
