Hi,

I am looking for any trick or application that shows me my router's WAN IP address from any of the PCs' connected to that router without using router config utility(i.e.192.168.1.1)

Thanks in advance for any help.

errr.... daver,

tracert in WinXP will show the LAN IP address, then the next hop is the ISP's gateway router. WAN IP address of router is never shown.

I live in Linux and depending upon whether the WAN endpoints are IP'd or not (sometimes the ISP builds the WAN using NO IPs!) I normally get the endpoints.

Surfinbox.com Business Internet Services - National Dialup, DSL, T-1 and more.

jpm121 is CORRECT!
The second one is the ISP Gateway.

That said, is no garantee either, it can give you a false IP.

An easy foolproof one is to send yourself an email and look at the header for the originating IP.

If 'something' 'somewhere' gives 'some' error, expect random guesses or no replies at all. Please specify details.
