How to kill pop-up windows? 4

I am getting REALLY SICK of the boneheaded web designers out there that think it's cool to open a half-dozen extra windows whenever you enter or leave thier site. Is there any registry hack or software product that lets you approve (y/n) any extra window explorer tries to open?

Maybe it will have unacceptable side-effects, but
you can try to disable scripting : Tools / Internet
Options / Security / Custom Level / Scripting disabled

There is a program called popup stopper that is great for this. If you want the popup window to open you hold the shift key if not it will automatically block all popup windows

You could try Pow! from AnalogX, which 'remembers' which ones you want to block and which you don't.

I use a program called NoAds and you can get the software from here

This is suberb, you just add the popup that you don't want to see again to the list and whenever it opens again it will get automatically closed - COOL!!
