How to keep server off the Internet???

We have a couple of systems running Window2003 server. Is it possible to keep the server off the internet? In the past, if I don't give "gateway" address, people wond't be able to get on the internet by using IE. But when I checked the system this morning, I could get on the internet, either with or without "gateway" address. Any suggestions???

Block it with a rule on the Sonicwall barring HTTP for the server IP address. Simple and easy to reverse.
