How to *keep looping...

I have an .swf file that is set to loop by default, but it doesn't. The html file has a param tag (for the object tag)to loop with a value set to true. It is also set in the embed tag, which is nested inside the object tag.

My guess is that something needed to be done in the source file. However, I don't have it - I only have the .swf.

Can someone help??

ALSO: sometimes when I play this file in my browser, I get an error message box that comes up with the title: "Sysfader: explorer.exe application error" with the message "...Message could not be read". Then you click either Ok or Cancel...either way it closes the browser window.

Can someone help on either one or the other? Any insight would be appreciated.

Does it play once at least? And then stop?

There might be a stop(); action on the end of it (you're not seeing because you don't have the .fla), so you'll have to load this external .swf into another main holder movie, continuously check the current frame it's playin and script a control mc to have loop before it reaches the stop action.

If you post a link to this .swf, I could have a look and try to set it up for you!

Thanks, Oldnewbie -

What do you mean by loading into a main holder movie?

I mean loading this external .swf into a movie clip container or on another level, as opposed to importing it in a .fla, or running the .swf through your html.

So, this wouldn't mean creating a new flash document and importing the swf in, right? Because that takes soooo long on my computer for some reason...a lot of mem usage?

No, not importing it! But loading it in the new document.
Do you have a link to this .swf?
