How to keep from losing shares

I have an AX150i attached to a win 2003 server. I have the disks partitioned into two drives. From there I have shares created on them (this is an archive/backup server). When this server is rebooted, usually for monthly patching, I find that I have to recreate the shares. Is there anything I can do to keep Windows from dropping the shares on reboot?
