Hi,

I'm a user of CR8.0.
Could anyone one tell me how can I merge 2 tables (from different database) in CR? I know it's possible but I don't know how to actually do the 'join'. Please shed seom light on this.

Thanks.

What are the 2 DB platforms.
Does either use ODBC?
Do these two tables have a linking field?

Thanks for your hint.

Regarding the type of the 2 DBs, one is od Sybase(ODBC) and the other is of Active Directory(OLE DB). These tables have a 'linking' field.

So, ar you saying that I can 'link' the table by using 'Database- Visual Linking Expert'? Can that also perform 'join'? ie.e joining the tables' data to form a new table

thanks in advance!

A join is the same as a link.

I don't know anything about AD, but if you can write a report against an AD table, then you can also login to your other ODBC connection and connect another table.

Cross-platform reports do have some limitations. Ken Hamady
