How to invoke Groupwise API from J2EE app

Hi

The company uses Novell Netware 5.1. A new J2EE application needs to broadcast messages to users. The idea is to use the Novell Groupwise API; a function equivalent to the send command. The problem is how to invoke the Novell API (on a Windows NT machine) from the J2EE application. Has anyone done this before? Any ideas much appreciated.
