how to invert a mask?

I made a mask, and it's showing the part I want to hide, how can I invert it?

I thought there was an easy way to do so, but I can't find it >_<

Mask the entire layer and "erase" the part that you want to show.

yeah - not sure if this will work but try to draw a box around the whole movie then fill the empty space with a different color - select your old mask and hit delete...
