how to Interpreter GRE

hello,

We design a private protocol which uses GRE tunnel on IP protocol. For example, protocol type is 8500 in GRE protocol. Because of private protocol, sniffer cannot interpreter it.

I read the PDK doucument, but I don't know howto do it.
Did someone do the same work before?
