How to integrate data from a text file and a excel worksheet

I have a problem need to be solved. My question is that I have a excel file (only one column - sample ID) a text file record the data (3 numbers for each sample. How can I automatically integrate these two files into make new excel file with matched data of sample ID and data together?

I am not sure I present my question clearly or not.
