I have a M7324 set that currently has 1 CAP installed. I went to install a second cap (Per the 6.0 manual you can have up to 5 total per system but only 2 per M7324) When I plug the line cord with 24v on pins 2&5 and the Phone port on pins 3&4 the first cap in the series comes up and the phone comes up but the second cap (middle device) does nothing, no lights, NOTHING. I verified that both Caps work as a 1 cap configuration. The manual only briefly mentions that you can use 2 caps but show nothing further. Any ideas?

You have to supply power to the 2nd cap as well. You have to use a 6 pin jack, and pins 1 & 6(usually White & Blue)you would loop the power off the power supply.Positve to White, Ground to Blue. That should take care of the problem.

As an addition, when connecting, plug the 6-conductor line cord from the wall into CAP 1, connect a short 6-conductor cord from CAP 1 to CAP 2, and finally connect a short 6-conductor cord from CAP 2 back to the 7324. Also, CAPs are polarity sensitive. If one or both CAPs have steady indicators and never come up reverse the polarity of power to the offending CAP. Check our web site for a reference guide on connecting CAPs (KLMs).
