Hello,
I'm new in using SUN Solaris, and I would like to use the man command.
Unfortunatly The Manuel isn't installed on my Solaris.
Could someone explain me how to install the man pages ? [sig][/sig]

It is possible that your man pages are installed but you cannot see them. There should be an environment variable something like this: -
MANPATH=/usr/man:/usr/share/man:/usr/local/man:/usr/opt/SUNWmd/man

Hi,
Thank you for helping me.
I went in every directory you gave in the path and have try the command : man ls. But every time I have this message : No manual entry for ls.
In fact the directories /usr/local/man and /usr/opt/SUNWmd/man do not exist on my solaris, and in the two others there are the following directories man1( with the files installer.1m, prodreg.1,..)and sman3x.

Do you know something about the file installer.1m or do you have an other hint ? [sig][/sig]

Looks like you may have to install them from the cdrom.
Or you could try copying them fom another machine. [sig]
Ged Jones
gedejones@hotmail.com

Top man[/sig]
