How to install SP3 for MSDE?

Hi,

I have install msde b4 and uninstall it some time ago. Recently I have the need to use it again so I did the installation again. However, when I try to install sp3, it said the instance name specified is invalid. I didnt have this problem for my last installation and I believe this is due to the instance name. How do I change my instance name to the default instance name? How do I check my instance name at all? I do no know how to do these in MSDE. Please guide me.
