how to install samba

That depends on how you have acquired SAMBA. Do you have RPM's or the source? Which distro? Bruce Garlock

If you use rpm distribution you can simply use the following #rpm -ivh samba.x.x.rpm
samba.x.x=name of samba source file
and don't forget to edit smb.conf file so it's suit your environment.
