how to install dat-4209 in Mcafee Management Console V2.5 MR1

The dat can be updated until 4209.
But as of the update 4210.zip, I can¡¯t install it in the repository of the console.
My version of Mcafee Management Edition is 2.5MR1

You can't anymore. NAI has placed ME on EOL and EOS. Suggest you create a shared folder and point the autoupdate task there. IN this way, you can just update this folder everytime a new update comes out.

Also, probably best if you look at ePO. It's much, much better than ME.

EOL is End-of-Life, EOS is End-of-Support. Which simply means you can't get any more support or updates from NAI.

You can upgrade from ME to ePO. Ask your NAI sales rep and SE on how to do this. Pretty tedious but worth it.

If you have a perpetual license and will not upgrade to ePO take a look at:

There you find the text:

Management Edition users, please see article NAI23394 in the Network
Associates Service Portal to find out how to create your own Management
Edition script for distributing update files.

But the you need to have a valid grant # to be able to login.

You'll be better off with ePO anyway...

I had this problem but do the following

IN the Zip file of 4209 you will see a mcscript.ini file edit this file in notepad. The first line you will see says
[ID]
Version=4.209

edit this to reflect the dat release ie

[ID]
Version=4.210

Now save the file add it to the Zip file and then deploy the dat file as per normal .

Hope that helps I am having a nightmare trying to come off Management Edition and going to Epol Orchestrator so am using this method for the time being.
