Hi,
I'm a programmer using VB6, recently I developed a project which using Crystal for reporting purposes, but when I made the instalation package and installed it in the client PC, the crystal part didn't work. I used crystal as an activex document and added it to the project. Because of this problem I'm unable to continue with my project. doe
s any one know how to solve this problem?

I have developed an application with Delphi 5 and incorporated Crystal Reports. In order for this application to operate on a client machine I need to include dll's for database access - p2ssql.dll, p2sobc.dll for instance as I am running against a SQL server database. In addition I am using the 'CRViewer' component. For this to operate I need to include 'CrViewer.dll' and 'Craxdrt.dll' and register them both using 'REGSRV32'. Hope this information proves useful.
Steve.

If you are using the VB Package and Deployment Wizard, it will include the Crystal DLL's based upon the References and Components checked (menu items under the Project menu in the VB IDE).

It wouldn't hurt (other than some disk space) to check all of the Crystal references and components, then rebuild the kit. A lot more U2*.DLL and P2*.DLL files will be included in the kit and loaded onto the client PC. You'll probably get the DLL's you need to make the application work on the client PC. Brian J. Alves
