I have just installed Solaris 8 SunOS 5.8 on my intel x86 machine.
I downloaded the Netscape Communicator version 8 and save the file(nsb-install-8-1-2.exe) under /opt.

now when I run to install it, it gives me error.
#./nsb-install-8-1-2.exe
./nsb-install-8-1-2.exe cannot execute

Please assist me to know who can I install any software in Solaris 8.

Thanks,

you downloaded a Windows version, unix apps/software do not have .exe extensions. search for the version compatible with unix.

try firefox/mozilla also
