How to Insert a Document for a task

I have a task "Determine Project Scope". I would like to attach a Word document of the Scope to this task. Kind of like you add Notes to a task, but this would be a Word document.
Is this possible?

Yes, you can insert a hyperlink to the Word document as one option. You may also embed the Word document in the Notes field. Double click on the task to show the Task Information form. Click the Notes tab and then use the "Insert Object button" above the notes area.
