Hello,

I'm using CR 2008 and Sql Server 2005. I have a report using a string field that has more than 6 characters but Crystal Reports is limiting that field to only 6 characters. It's showing "TEXT1: String [6]" under the view in field explorer section. When I browse the field, the values are cutoff. Is there a way to set the string lengh manually? Thanks.

Hi,
What connection type are you using ( SqlServer, ADO, ODBC, etc)

Has the database field changed since the report was created?
Try the Refresh Data option under the Database tab.

I am using ODBC for Sql Server. Database field has remained the saem. I have other string fields which have much longer default length except this one field.

When accessing the datatable directly does ( maybe with Sql Server's Reporting Sevices) does the field appear as expected?

Did you do a verify as Turkbear suggested.

If field has changed since report was designed verify will update Crystal meta data.
