how to inactivate a password in MS Access?

I should have mentioned that someone set up the database & password and I know the password but want to inactivate so I don't have to enter it in future.

Hi Desi5pure,

What version of Access are you using?

In Acc2007, click on Database Tools and select "Encrypt with Password." It should be a matter of just highlighting and deleting the old password.

NOTE: Your database must be opened for exclusive use before it can be password protected. To open that way, close the data base and use the "Open" command and browse to your DB file location. SINGLE click on the file name. Then click on the downarrow next to the "Open" button and select Open Exclusive.

Hope this helps.
