I'm running a p4, 2.4 ghz, 1 gig of ram, Windows XP Professional. I can't get Pagemaker to data merge more that 25 records at a time - otherwise it locks up and does not respond. It's crazy.

My document is an 8-1/2x11, double sided. I have three fields of unique information being merged - Name, Account Number, and Exp. Date.

At this point I'm ready to try to make the document a .jpg and use it as a water mark in MS Word and use that MS Word mail merge. It's a horrible solution, but I need to merge 1,000 + records at a time. It's taking too long doing 25 records at a time.

I thought about the usual ideas (upgrade to a couple of Scuzzy drives, more memory, dual processors, etc) but all of those take a lot of $. Must be something I can do to with what I have to fix this.
