Can someone help me as to how we can import the Sales Orders from a spreadsheet or the Text file via Visual Integrator.

Basically, I need to know if there is any template available for that or what fields we will need to import in order to Import a sales order directly into MAS90/ MAS200.

Thank you for any help..

Raj

What version on you on? This is important as the import with 4.10 is totally different than 4.05 or lower.

Hi BigLouie,
Thanks for responding. I am using MAS200 Release 4.10 with Providex RDMS not the SQL databases.

Thanks.

Raj

In 4.10 less is better. You will only need fields that are absolutely necessary for data entry. One trick is to go into Export and export the so.order selecting required fields. This will show you what you need to have in your import file and in what format.

Thank you BigLouie. I will look into MAS200 VI Module for the data fields required to import Sales Orders.

Thanks again....

Raj

With 4.10 the objects model will assign a most of the values that you use to have to import. For example now all you have to give it is the customer number and the address will fill in on it's own.

If you have never written an import before my suggestion would be to work with your reseller and have them write the import and then explain the how's and why's so that you can learn and write your own the next time.
