Hi,

This is probably anything but trivial, but consider this scenario:

I've got an Excel/CSV timesheet extract, with one line/entry "per date that someone does something on a task".

The excel field contains an identifier, let's call it "ERP Task ID". I have entered the same values on a text field on all corresponding tasks in the project file - this is how i'd map the tasks.

Now, for each line in the excel file, I'd like to update the timescaled actual work (per task per resource per date). Resource names are identical in the two systems.

Any ideas?

Thanks a lot,

Jens

There is a small ambiguity that needs clarification.

If you are attempting to do this by using Import wizard then it cannot be done.

If you are attempting to do this by writing some VBA code then it can be done, but it is so *seriously* non-trivial several companies have been able to build a successful business model on doing just that.
