how to identify hard disk spec via serial or part numer???

Hi folk.

My hard disk drive is dead... I have no way to identify phisical spec. because no cover or data. Only serial number and bar code from printed board and connector side.

Any way to identify a Seagate drive from these serials numbers???

any help/advise will be apreciated.

Call Seagate tech support. They can find out from that information. You cannot do it just from the Web.
