is there any way to highlight rows (separater records) in a combobox (like dynamicbackcolor etc for grids)?

The only way I know to do this is to create a popup (with DEFINE POPUP). This lets you specify foreground and background colours (using the old ColorPairList settings - not very nice).

You can then tie the popup to a combo box by setting the combo's RowSourceType to 9.

I was considering using a one column grid with scroll bars(since I can show about 20 rows on my form)

I am using a combobox right now but since can't do what I want am considering grid.

yes - thanks - I will let you know how it looks
