Hi,

We have a company intranet from which en users can click on some links to view the result of the reports in html format in the production environment.

When we then click on the Print Preview button of the Internet Explorer (in HTML format) we clearly see the SCROLLING BARS. WE don't whant to see that.

On the other hand, instead of cliking on the "Print Preview" button, if click on the "RUN with options" button we get to select all the prompt values and then the report result appears and then if click on the PRINT PREVIEW button we no longer see the scrolling bars (also we do see the prompts in the header of the report).

THIS IS WHAT WE WHANT BUT WE DON'T WHANT TO HAVE TO CLICK ON THE "RUN with options" button each time the user whants to see the report result.

Any ideas in this how to hide the scrolling bars when printing the report ?
Any tips ?

Thanks in advance !

Why would you view in html format then? To not see scrolling bars, you would view in another format...like XLS or PDF. Printing should never come from the Internet Explorer with the Print button.

I would normally have the report outputs (xls or pdf) there on the right for anyone to open and print.

Hi CognosProfessional,

In deed i know that when printing we should almost always do it in pdf format and not in html ...

But that doesn't answers the question of WHY is it that when clickin on the report link (no prompt to provide) and we print in html there are the scrolling bars ?
VS
When we reRUN the same report (this time we need to provide the parameter values) and we then print it in HTML format then we DON'T see the scrolling bars ?

Thanks in advance to anyone having the answer to this.
