Hello,

I know there is a suppress option but all that does is leave the rest of the data in the row. What I would like is to be able to enter a formual (possibly if then formula) to say if this criteria is met dont show row. I am using crystal 8.5

also I cannot use the group and hide method because I am using a program called Crystal Delivery which automatically exports crystal reports in various formats, and when it exports it shows every field and ignores the grouping.

In the Section Expert, find the section you want to suppress. I'm assuming it's the Detail section.
There's an X-2 button there where you can apply a condition.
Click the X-2 button beside the Suppress property and enter a Boolean formula (or an IF-THEN-ELSE that returns TRUE or FALSE) that describes the condition you want to use to suppress the section.

Remember that even though a section is suppressed, the records are still in the report and will still add in to any summaries that you may be creating.

In order to prevent these suppressed rows from adding to your summaries, you'd need to use Running Total fields for your summaries OR create formulas that exclude the suppressed rows from the calculations and then summarize on the formulas instead of the database fields.

Or better yet, take your suppression logic and place it in a record selection formula, this will remove the records from your report entirely thus eliminating the need for additional logic for summaries and grand totals.
