I am fairly new to Access so please bare with me.
Using Access 97.
Created table which has field for "InputDate" for each record as it is added.
Created Report which shows all fields I need and is sorted
by InputDate.
Would like to be able to have a Report that I could run at the end of each day that would show only those records(filtered for)actually input during the day.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreicated.
thanks. in advance

Hi JRS2nd,
You'll have to base your report off of a query that is based off of your table. No biggy: Flip your report in to design view. Double-click in the top left corner of the report screen to pop up the reports properties dialog. Find the Data tab, then the property "Record Source". It might be the name of your table or some jumble of stuff (a "SQL" string)... either way click once on it and you'll see a button to the right "..." click on that button and if it asks any questions say yes. If it did ask then you'll have to make the query based on your table, and you can do this by selecting the * from your shown table, and double-clicking it or dragging it to the grid. Now find your date field and DC or drag it to the grid too. UnCheck the "show" option for the date field. (We don't want to confuse your report with two date fields...) In the first criteria line type this in:

[Please enter the date]

Or optionally if you don't want to be asked:

Date()

If you opened on to an existing query, it's the same drill (putting the [please enter... or Date()) but do not remove the "show" check or add anything to the query.

That's it. Close, Save and see if it does what it's supposed to! :) Gord

Hey Gord,
Sorry I it has taken soooo long to reply.. actually snuck
out of the office for a week!! your explanation and directions were perfect!... another odd question along the
same lines...but it deals with a text box on a form..should
I ask here or start a new thread in the forms forum?
thanks again )

Aren't you the lucky one...and you didn't tell us! LOL Thanks BTW and yes you should start a new thread with another excellent subject line as before. That way it helps others searching for answers too! :) Gord
