I have a html page. When this pasge is viewed in different locations the font size keeps varying. It becomes big small so on. Hence the table alignment is not maintained. How to define a fixed font size?

You cannot define a 100% fixed page -- since each browser may choose to ignore your wishes (Opera will scale regardless for instance). If you want to use fixed font sizes, then specify your sizes in pixels (px). This will prevent IE from resizing at the very least.

Instead of doing this (which, as Jeff says, is impossible to enforce), consider changing your design to be fluid, and use EMs for units.

Liquid layout isn't tricky, and, with a good design, can really help make for a good, modern, friendly, and accessible site.

Hope this helps,
Dan
