Hi, everyone.

Here is my dilemma..I have a CR 9 report with c#.net 2003. that I need to operate 4 tables in my report. The 4 tables are linked by the same ID field. What I want is just group the content of one table using another ID in that table. But the CR seems to group the 4 tables together.

What I need is:

section1: some fields in table1
section2: some fields in table2
section3: (only group in this section)
ID1 fileds for ID1 in table3
ID2 fileds for ID2 in table3
ID3 fileds for ID3 in table3
.......
section4: some fields in table4

But the report created by CR is:

Group ID1:
section1: some fields in table1
section2: some fields in table2
section3: (only group in this section)
ID1 fileds for ID1 in table3
.......
section4: some fields in table4

Group ID2:
section1: some fields in table1
section2: some fields in table2
section3: (only group in this section)
ID2 fileds for ID2 in table3
.......
section4: some fields in table4

Group ID3:
section1: some fields in table1
section2: some fields in table2
section3: (only group in this section)
ID3 fileds for ID3 in table3
.......
section4: some fields in table4
..................

Anyone have any ideas how I can make this easier?

Thanks for your help!

Place your section1,2 and 4 information in the report header and footer sections.

Thanks for the quick reply.

But what if I have more than one tables like table3 which is needed to be grouped seperately?

Is there a better way to do this?

Thanks.

PLace each table in its own subreport. Then you can show each tables data separately.

Thank you, Lisa.

I just avoid to use the subreport. But it seems it's the only way to do it.

Thanks again.
