Hi!

I examined the effect of using CCmdUI::Enable function in an OnUpdateItemNewGame (ITEM_NEW_GAME is a menu item) function. It well operated but the text of the menu item didn't become gray when the argument of the Enable function was FALSE! Why? Do you have any idea?

Thank's for your help in advance!

Hi

It should work ...
You'll have to re-check your code or give more info.

Dear Thierry,

I installed Visual C++ 6.0 SP3 on a computer with Windows 2000 Professional operating system. The Enable mode operates correctly but "gray out" and SetCheck and SetText doesn't operate. I'll try to install the developer tool on Windows NT. I hope it will help me. Any idea?

I think I guessed the crucial point of my problem. I tried to use the menu on a dialog window (I used dialog based application). Is there anybody who knows why perfect usage of menu on a dialog window is impossible?
